General   In August of 2011 photographer Kris Starry,  http://www.starrynightphotography.net/  shared with me some wonderful photos she had taken as inspiration for one of my next pieces. Once again with wine in our hands she allowed me to peruse her computer files containing hundreds of gorgeous shots from various photo shoots. Now as most of you know my subject matter is typically women. Tattooed women, women with pink and blue hair, women, just as long as it's women.... Well this time I was stopped dead in my tracks by something, no someone different. His name is Cary Polkovitz,  www.bluecanvas.com/carythehat   Cary is an artist from New York who is currently living in West Palm Beach, FL. On Cary's facebook page he includes this as his favorite quote:   "Halfway down the stairs is a stair where I sit. There isn't any other stair quite like it.  I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top. So this is the stair where I always stop. Halfway up the stairs isn't up and isn't down. It isn't in the nursery, it isn't in the town. And all sorts of funny thoughts run round my head. It isn't really anywhere, it's somewhere else instead." Getting to know Cary nothing could be more true, he is definitely "somewhere else instead." It is my absolute pleasure to include him as the first male in my series "fnperfect". Cary's unique qualities are those that each one of us should celebrate within ourselves. General Stage 84 in Davie, Florida  www.stage84fl.com  will host a solo show on Thursday, April 21, 2011 to kickoff my new series "fnperfect"  Stage 84 was the first venue to give me the opportunity to have a solo show for my "INK" series back in 2009. Since then, I have enjoyed hanging my work in this artsy, laid back music cafe. I have always felt like family here, and look forward to kicking off my new series the same way.
